2．做到合理的启动：双燃料如使用液化气气体，工作前应确认钢瓶上手动阀门是否已完全打开，叉车在常期闲置不用时，应将其手动阀门关闭；启动时不必踩油门，双燃料系统必须将切换开关旋置液化气位置，启动后，尤其天寒地带，好是暖车两三分种，让内燃机之冷却水系统升温后再行驶，以确保温水可流入汽化器，以加速汽化。

3．注意燃油切换方法（单燃料叉车不需考虑）：对双燃料叉车而言，切换时应在叉车停稳时，且不可在行驶中切换；在汽油转换至液化气时，让内燃机继续以怠速运转，此时可将切换开关旋至中位，让化油器内积存汽油烧完为止，直至熄火，再将燃油切换开关旋至液化气位置，重新启动；由液化气转换到汽油时，可直接将切换开关旋至汽油位置不必停在中位，此时注意拔出拉索，双燃料系统在主要以烧液化气为主时，需让汽油箱内保持至少1/4的油量以备不时之需。且偶尔地需烧汽油，以确保汽油系统不因闲置过久而出现故障，防止输油管脆化，建议每个月烧10公斤汽油为好。

4．做到正确地加气：加气有两种方式，一为换瓶；二为在叉车上直接充气。加气或换瓶时必须在室外，保证通风良好，安全应符合当地的消防标准的规定要求。叉车必须停稳、熄火，驾驶员离开驾驶座。四周严禁烟火、热源、火源。小心地处理钢瓶，不得碰撞、摔掷、或在地面上滚动。加气人员在加气的过程中必须全程监视，不得离开现场。充气时，将加气枪套在瓶上的填充阀上，并旋紧，同时将瓶上的80%的液位孔旋开，开始加气。当80%液位孔有白雾冒出时，应立即停止加气，将80%液位孔旋紧关闭，并检查液面计指示量是否正确。
